I spent my career building data, operations, and technology platforms inside companies where reliability matters: Dell, Compaq, HP, Sony, Wells Fargo, Home Depot, Biogen, KCI/Acelity, 3M, and Elara Caring.
Those brands taught me how serious operating systems are built. Home care taught me why they matter at the kitchen-table level: a daughter wondering whether mom’s caregiver arrived, an agency owner trying to protect a premium client relationship, a caregiver trying to do good work without another layer of friction.
The insight came from the work.
In senior healthcare technology roles, including at one of the nation’s largest home-based care providers, I saw how easily good care can become invisible to the family paying for it.
That visibility gap creates anxiety. Anxiety turns into office calls, second-guessing, caregiver friction, and eventually the cancellation call. The agency may be delivering care — but the family can’t feel it.
